Established in 1953 with its first Feature Film releasing 1954, Eagle Films is today one of the premiere Film Production Houses in India. A family concern headed by veteran Producer F.C.Mehra and his sons: Umesh Mehra, Film Director; Rajesh Mehra, Head Studio Division; Rajiv Mehra, Director and Head Television Division.

Eagle Films has made such notable films such as Singapore [1959] : first Indian film to be shot in Malaysia and Singapore; Ujala [ The Awakening ]; Professor; Lal Patthar; and Amrapali [Oscar entry from India].
In 1976 was launched an Indo-Soviet Co Production Film "Ali Baba And Forty Thieves" with the biggest stars of India and the Soviet Cinema and Umesh Mehra as a Director. The film was a box-office hit and won several National and International Awards.

The production company has flourished giving at least one major release every year since its inception; the last being "Ramjane" with Shahrukh Khan (The Indian equivalent of Tom Cruise) and the prestigious "Qila" with the thespian Dilip Kumar (The Indian counter part of Marlon Brando). At the same time Eagle Films has branched out to all major areas of the Entertainment Industry.

Eagle Theatre owns two major cinema halls: PLAZA in Cannaught Place Delhi; and MINERVA (Pride of Maharashtra) Mumbai.

Eagle Films and Television Studio is the first studio in North India, located in Noida Film City. It offers a centrally air-conditioned sound stage with top of the line equipment for film and television production.

Eagle Films Distributors has its office in Chandini Chowk Delhi, and distributes all film produced by Eagle Films, besides acquiring other films for Distribution in North India.

Natraj Studio Pvt. Ltd. is located in Andheri, of which F.C. Mehra is a Director has two large shooting stages with a preview theatre and is one of the most popular studios with the film makers of Bollywood.

Eagle Video Films at Famous Mahalaxmi Studios of Mumbai is the Television Division of Eagle Films and offers State of the Art facilities for advertising films and serials. It has also produced such popular T.V. Serials as "EK DO TEEN CHAR", "MAMAJI" and "ZABAN SAMBHAL KE", for DoorDarshan. Currently the company is producing 'Office Office', 'Nok Jhok', 'Khatta Meetha', 'Kissa Kursi Ka' and 'Film@2000' for SABe Channel. Eagle Video Films today boasts of the best Post Production facilities with the 'Fire' on the 'Onxy' platform accompanied by computer Graphics and Animation, an offline/online Mc8000 Avid and complete Betacam SP Suite.


Eagle Films has entered into an Agreement with the State Company 'Uzbekino' to launch a film in co- production to be shot in Uzbekistan and India. Major investments are planned in the expansion of the Noida Studios with the addition of sound stages latest equipment and construction of a Multiplex Cinema Complex.


Eagle Films has joined hands with Cinevista Communications (a listed company with a market cap of Rs.160 million) to form Cinevista Eagle Plus Media Pvt. Ltd., a company that will concentrate on 'Film' part of the Entertainment Business. The Company has realeased its first production "Ye Mohabat Hai" -"This is Love".
